Mucurca Trek Lake to Cabanaconde

1 Day Visit Mucurca and Half Day Hike

Tour starts from Pachamama Hostel - Cabanaconde and we depart early in the morning towards Mucurca lagoon. The tour is a conbination visit with the 4x4 car and half day hike. You will enjoy the view of the volcanoes, birds and Lagoon. We conitnue with the hike to Cabanaconde passing trough a beautiful landscape and with the best panoramic view of Cabanaconde and its terraces. The walk from Mucurca to Cabanaconde is a pre-inca trail and still well preserved.

Itinerary:

06:00 am Depart from Hostel Pachamama. The rides takes 1 hr 30m to reach the Lagoon. We will have an espectacular breakfast at the Lagoon with the best view of the volcanoes Hualca - Hualca, Sabankanya (erupting volcanoe) and Ampato (where Juanita inca momy was found). There are big chances to see Flamengos and other endemic species.

At 9:00 am we get ready and a we start with the walk to Cabanaconde. We will use a pre-inca trail which was used by locals to reach Arequipa.

At 14:00 pm We will be arriving to Cabanaconde.

Price Includes:

4x4 Car (max 6p). We need a good car to reach the lagoon.
Binoculars.
Breakfast at Mucurca Lagoon, with the best view!
Local guide of Cabanaconde. Supporting the local economy!
Sandwhich for the walk

Entrance Fee Colca Canyon.

▸ 3 Days prior to the start of your arrangement 100 % of total amount. You can move the date.

▸ 2 – 0 Day of departure or no-show – 100% of total amount.
